Registration still open, first confirmations, and new features

Bibs are still available for the four distances of the ASICS Malcesine Baldo Trail, the international Upper Garda happening scheduled from Friday, May 5 to Sunday, May 7 on the border mountains between Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige.

Browsing a start list that is still a work in progress, the names of Luca Carrara, Francesco Lorenzi, and Georg Piazza stand out for the 50km flagship race. While the first two were major protagonists of the first edition, finishing first and second respectively, the South Tyrolean athlete will be making his debut on this high-adrenaline “lake-view” course.

A very welcome return on the 24km for Bergamo’s Sergio Bonaldi, who secured a historic double win here last year by taking the vertical race on Friday and the medium-distance race on Saturday morning. These are just some of the confirmed protagonists for what promises to be a great weekend of sport and fun on the shores of Lake Garda.

There are still four distances planned on the trails of Malcesine, Brentonico, and Avio, but compared to last year, the VRM TEAM Asd crew has introduced several improvements such as a pasta party in the finish area, post-race showers (on Saturday), and a happy hour with live music from 6 PM to 8 PM on Saturday with Birra Monte Baldo (buy one beer, get one free).
